Choir Signup

All kids who love to sing! No music experience or audition required (all choir members must be able to read lyrics independently - no sheet music knowledge is required). Sign-ups are first-come, first-served.  There is no audition for Choir I or II. 

Monday Evenings - September 17 - December 17, 2018
(Schedule Note: There will be no classes on November 12 or 19, 2018)

Children's Theatre Choir I; Ages 5-7; 5-5:50pm; $295.00 
Children's Theatre Choir II; Ages 8-12; 6:00-6:50pm; $295.00
Children's Theatre Choir III; Ages 13-High School; 7:00-8:00pm; $355.00 

Attend ONE Audition Date: September 8, 11–1:00pm OR September 10 from 4:00 – 5:30pm
What to Expect: Auditionees will sign up for an audition upon arrival, seen on a first-come, first-seen basis.
What to Prepare: 
Encouraged (but not required) to bring sheet music - up to 16 bars or approx. 1 minute. If you do not have a song prepared, you may still come to the audition! 
Choir III Prerequisite: Some experience in a choir or musical theatre setting is desirable.

Final Performance Call Times: Choir I: 5:30pm  | Choir II: 5:00pm  | Choir III: 4:30pm
Dress Requirements: Choir I and II will be given Palo Alto Children's Theatre t-shirts which may be worn with black or white bottoms. No shoe requirements for Choir I or II. Choir III may wear any combination of black or white dress.  For Choir III, comfortable black or white shoes may be worn (no sneakers, please). 

Note: There may be additional opportunities scheduled for the Choirs to perform, but participation for these performances will be optional.

Enrollment for Choir III will be by invitation only, after the required audition.

Withdrawal and Refund Policy (by registering for the Choir, you indicate your agreement with the following policy):  If you choose to withdraw your registration for any reason, please let us know immediately.  To request a refund during the registration period or after the first meeting in the session, please request a refund in writing by September 23, 2018.  If you request a refund at that time, the full amount minus a $35 processing charge will be refunded to you. In lieu of a refund, you may also request to donate the refund-eligible amount to the Friends of the Palo Alto Children's Theatre as a tax deductible contribution. No Choir refunds will be issued after October 1, 2018.

This class is offered in collaboration with the Friends of the Palo Alto Children's Theatre, supporting performing arts programs which reach more than 57,000 community members each year!
